The Sonoma Odyssey of Food & Wine, the revamped annual
fundraiser of the Wine Library Associates of Sonoma County, will
feature a dozen great chefs and 30 local wineries. This year’s
presentation introduces focused food and wine pairings, a fresh
collection of silent and live auction items, exciting raffles,
media sponsorship and a second beneficiary – farmworker housing in
Sonoma County. The Sonoma Odyssey of Food & Wine rolls out on
Saturday, June 18, from 2 to 5:30 pm at Richard’s Grove and
Saralee’s Vineyard in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River
Valley. Reservations for the event may be made by phone at
431-2898, by mail (with check to Sonoma Odyssey/WLASC, P. O. Box
43, Healdsburg, CA 95448), or in person at the Healdsburg Regional
Library. Tickets are $40 for members of the Wine Library Associates
or the Sonoma County Culinary Guild, and $50 for non-members. For
more information visit www.sonomaodyssey.org.
Word Box
“We do not like to look at the shadow side of ourselves;
therefore there are many people in our civilized society who have
lost their shadow altogether, have lost the third dimension, and
with it they usually have lost the body. The body is a most
doubtful friend because it produces things we do not like Å
Sometimes it forms the skeleton in the cupboard, and everybody
naturally wants to get rid of such a thing.” – Carl G. Jung
