Lady Jags open postseason this week in NBL tourney
The postseason has arrived for the WHS varsity softball team following a strong league finish, set to kick off the final phase of the campaign as the No. 2 seed in the North Bay League playoffs.
Windsor (7-3, 12-7) took care of business in the final week of the regular season, logging wins over Analy (1-0) and Maria Carrillo (6-3) to secure second place in league, two games back of NBL champion Rancho Cotate.
At press time the ladies were preparing to open the NBL playoff tournament at home on May 7 against third seeded Analy, with the winner advancing to the championship game against either Rancho Cotate or Montgomery. The winner of the NBL playoff game with Analy will play on Thursday at Santa Rosa Junior College. The time is to be announced.

The Lady Jaguars rode the strong arm of ace pitcher Kayla Scott (7 IP, 4 hits, 0 runs, 0 BBs, 6 Ks) in the April 30 clash with visiting Analy, with the senior hurler logging arguably her best performance of the season. The Jags pushed across the lone run of the game in the sixth when Anis Acevedo doubled home Scott to give the Jags all they’d need in a 1-0 victory.

Windsor locked up second place in Thursday’s road tilt at Maria Carrillo, pushing across five runs in the third inning en route to a 6-3 victory.
