We were shocked
EDITOR: My husband and I were going to the Windsor Town Green Festival for Cinco de Mayo. I also wanted to check out the new restaurant Taco Lab in the Oliver’s shopping center and have lunch. We parked in the Oliver’s shopping center, got out and walked to Taco Lab. What I witnessed in the parking lot shocked me.
Several tow trucks were towing cars out of the parking lot while the car’s owners ran to stop the tow truck drivers. There were no signs indicating that cars would be towed if owners were not shopping at the center. The drivers said that if people walked off the property they would tow the cars.
But what about people wanting to shop at the center and visit the Green? Is this not a community that wants patrons to shop and visit the very near community festivities?
We were so shocked that we left the Oliver’s shopping center without lunch and did not spend our money at any of the shops there. I could not believe that the shop owners of this shopping center did not post a warning about parking there. I understand that they want parking for their patrons but perhaps this extreme measure may keep potential patrons from going there in the first place. We will think twice about parking there in the future.
