Be political
EDITOR: To the teenagers of Windsor, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and all of North Bay schools — be strong, be active, be vocal, use your power of social media, be political, vote as soon as you turn 18, march with the students from Florida, and the rest of America on March 14 to show the world: no more guns.
Money is the root of all evil, and it has sent its tentacles into all levels of society. Mind-boggling forces with money and power have corrupted our government, and millions of people who think that any weapon is a safety measure. Politicians have lost sight of their purpose — to work for the good of the nation — to work only for their own gain and permanence.
Corrupt politicians can be voted out. I worked on my first political campaign at age 16, but I couldn’t vote until I was 21. And I’m still politically active 60 years later. Teenagers — don’t wait. Be political now and continue to make America safe and strong, and a blessed place to live.
