Mutz to speak to Dems
EDITOR: John Mutz will be the third and final Sonoma County Sheriff candidate to speak to the Windsor/North County Democratic Club. He will speak and answer questions for about an hour and a half at our monthly meeting Thursday night, Feb. 22, from 7 to 9 pm, at Windsor Round Table Pizza. Free pizza will be served.
Starting as a Deputy Sheriff/Coroner in 1971 in Sutter County, Mutz started working for the LA Police Department in 1974. He eventually became Station Commander in the LA stations of Wilshire Area and Newton Area until 1999. Since leaving the LAPD, from 2000 to the present, he has worked as a leadership consultant and as a certified mediator and facilitator for the LA District Attorney’s Office. His website is johnmutzforsheriff.com.

An evening of poetry
EDITOR: Thank you to everyone — the creator of our Eventbrite site, the students who performed, the teachers who assisted the students, the attentive audience, the supportive parents, our photographer, the excellent Windsor Times article, those who brought the WHS Theater alive with sound and lighting, our various MCs, and, the star of the evening, California Poet Laureate Dana Gioia. It was a delightful evening filled with humor and love. We are all the richer for this evening of poetry.
