Fredrickson captures NCS championship
Senior Blake Fredrickson added to his growing legacy in the WHS sports history books on Saturday at the North Coast Section Wrestling Championships at James Logan High School in Union City, capturing the 115-pound title — his second in as many years. In doing so, Fredrickson will be among the athletes to beat on Feb. 22-23 when he takes the mat at the prestigious CIF State Championships in Bakersfield. Â
Burger an emerging star for Lady Jags
Freshman Savannah Burger has been a great addition to the Windsor girls wrestling team this season, establishing herself among the top wrestlers in the North Coast Section. Burger turned in a memorable performance at the NCS meet on Feb. 15-16 in Union City, navigating a tough weight class to earn a seventh place medal. The effort was among the best ever for a Windsor High School freshman. Â Â
