William Holst – consulting engineer and WWII veteran

William “Bill” Holst passed away on December 26, 2002 in Casa
Grande at the age of 81. Bill Holst was born on April 23, 1921 in
Healdsburg, California to Charles and Hazel (Englehart) Holst. He
was the youngest grandson of Peter and Caroline Holst, Danish
immigrants and founders of a winery in Sonoma County in 1880. He
was an Army Air Corps. veteran of World War II and a consulting
engineer before his retirement. He moved to Casa Grande in 1991. He
is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ernestine (Dayley), and a
niece Annette Dempsey of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by
his sister Elizabeth and his brother Charles Jr. In accordance with
his longtime wishes, no services will be held. Memorial
contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
