Willa M. Ballard, 83, passed away in Santa Rosa on Tuesday,
March 1, 2005. She was the wife of the late William D. Ballard; the
mother of Gary Ballard and his wife Claudette, and Maxine Donofrio
and her husband Bob; the sister of Leota Richards; the grandmother
of Annette Harding and her husband Steve, Nicole Minaglia and her
husband Paul, Angela Jones and her husband Jack, Dan Donofrio,
Michael Donofrio and his wife Dawn, Gina Scialabba and her husband
Mike, and Lisa Spinale and her husband Eric; the grandmother of
Maddy, Jack, Mallory, Dominic, Annalise, Alex, Jason. She is also
survived by her beloved cat Tommy. Willa was a member and past Dep.
Grand Matron of the Sotoyome Clover Leaf Chapter No. 82 Order of
the Eastern Star. She and her husband owned and operated the Brite
Cleaners in Healdsburg for many years before retiring in 1977. She
was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes and blankets for her
grandchildren and was an occasional quilt maker. Willa will be
remembered as a generous woman with a big heart and for her love of
her grand and great grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday,
March 5, 2005 at Santa Rosa Memorial Park and Mortuary.
