Remy CantoAdams, a 2012 Windsor High School graduate and five-year varsity cyclist for the nationally-recognized Wheelmen racing team at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, has been selected to compete in the Collegiate Cycling National Championships in Grand Junction, Colorado from April 27-30.
CantoAdams will ride in the mountains for a 66-mile road race on Saturday, April 29 and then compete again the next afternoon on Sunday, April 30 in the premier criterion for 70 minutes of high-speed racing around downtown Grand Junction.
Having raced during high school at the State and national level as part of Team Swift, a Sonoma County based youth development team; CantoAdams is excited to complete his collegiate career with a trip to nationals.
“It is truly an honor to be part of the legacy of success with my Wheelman colleagues, and I look forward to seeing many of the fellow racers from around the country that I have known over the years,” he said.
CantoAdams will graduate from Cal Poly with a degree in architecture in June and looks forward to continued cycling with several local bike clubs. He is the son of WUSD trustee Bill Adams.
