Windsor hurler Tanner Kane fired a three-hit, complete-game gem on May 10 to key a 1-0 win over visiting Montgomery.

Windsor wraps up season with 11-13 record
The varsity baseball Jaguars did all they could to extend their season in the final week of the league schedule, but their playoff hopes were dashed on Friday in a season-ending loss at Casa Grande.
Windsor (6-8, 11-13) came up agonizingly short in each criteria needed to land a North Coast Section Division 2 playoff berth, which requires at least a .500 record overall, in league, or within divisional play. The Jags fell one win shy of the mark in each category.
Windsor opened the last week of the NBL season on May 10 against visiting Montgomery, paying tribute to graduating seniors Kobe Roman, Tanner Kane, Joey Pignataro, JT Stadum, Ethan Wright, Toli Partida, Anthony Chamberlain, Chris Berndt, Travis Broadhead and Billy Leuenberger before the game.
The Jaguars rode the hot hand of starting pitcher Tanner Kane, who throttled the Vikings with an assortment of pitches that would keep them off the board all afternoon.
Kane (7 IP, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 K) crafted a complete-game gem, benefiting from an RBI knock from Ethan Wright in the second inning to plate the winning run en route to a 1-0 victory. Collecting hits for Windsor were Stadum (1 for 1), Kane (1 for 3, run) and Wright (1 for 3, RBI).
It was a different story on Friday at Casa Grande, as the first-place Gauchos broke a 1-1 deadlock with solo runs in the third and fifth before pushing across five runs in the fateful sixth in an eventual 8-1 win. Kevin Winter took the loss for the Jags while top hitters included Kane (2 for 3) and Stadum (1 for 3, RBI).
