Key local business leaders were among the 28 people honored Dec.
3 at the 10th annual Spirit of Sonoma County Awards Program,
presented by the county’s Economic Development Board.
The honorees are selected each year by various business, trade
and chambers of commerce organizations.
Janet Rodina, owner of the Silk Moon Gallery in Sebastopol was
selected by the Sebastopol Area Chamber of Commerce. Silk Moon was
previously honored as Sebastopol’s Business of the Year.
The Russian River Chamber of Commerce selected Margaret Kennett,
owner of Fern Grove Cottages in Guerneville for her many activities
at the chamber and with the county’s hospitality industry.
The program was introduced by Ben Stone, executive director of
the EDB and the awards were presented by incoming Board of
Supervisor Chair Efren Carrillo and State Assemblyman Wes
Chesbro.
