Wallace B. “Bud” Noble suddenly passed away June 9, 2003 in
Windsor. He was born January 10, 1921 in San Francisco, and moved
to Guerneville at age 15. Graduated from Analy Union High School,
Sebastopol. Loving husband for over 61 years of Natalie (Birkhofer)
Noble. Loving brother of Betty (Howard) Evans of Forestville. Proud
father of five sons: Michael Noble of Healdsburg, Robert Noble of
Guerneville, Thomas Noble of Guerneville, Barry Noble and wife Mary
Jane of Windsor and preceded in death by son Richard Noble. Also
survived by numerous other family members. A World War II Navy
Seabee veteran, Bud returned to Guerneville where he became active
in Odd Fellows, Rotary and Boy Scouts while working a Standard Oil
Distributorship before moving to Healdsburg in 1965 to follow the
same pursuit. Always an outdoor enthusiast, many of Bud’s twilight
years were spent enjoying the camaraderie of other fortuitous
seekers of color (gold), braving the roiling rapids and placid
pools along the banks of the South Fork of the Downie River; every
dawning day bringing forth new hopes and friendships. He will be
dearly missed by all. A celebration of life to be held at a future
date. Donations may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of
Healdsburg, Post Office Box 89, Healdsburg, CA 95448.
