West County volleyball teams logged a good week on the Sonoma County League circuit, as Analy and El Molino combined for three wins in four matches.
The Lions (8-5, 2-2) opened the action in a Sept. 13 clash with visiting Elsie Allen, easily defeating the Lobos in straight sets; 25-15, 25-9 and 25-12.
Statistical leaders for El Molino included Neva Titus (4 aces), Sara Flores (4 kills, 7 aces), Sasha Senal (8 kills) and Torrie Boles (12 digs).
El Mo was back at it two nights later against a strong Petaluma squad, falling to the Trojans in three sets; 19- 25, 12-25 and 11-25.
The Lions will host Sonoma Valley on Sept. 20 (after press time) and visit Analy next Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the first of two “Apple” matches. Start times beginning with the frosh are 4/5/6:30 p.m.
Tigers win easily
Analy made short work of both SCL opponents last week, starting with a sweep over visiting Piner on Sept. 13; 25-11, 25-9 and 25-11.
Pacing the Tigers’ attack were Ava Ehnes (4 kills, 4 aces), Sabrina Stephens (16 digs, 6 aces), Maddy Windsor (13 assists) and Vivi Vigil (3 aces).
The Tigers paid Elsie Allen a visit on Sept. 15, scoring a win in straight sets; 25-10, 25-6 and 25-14.
Leading the net assault were Claire Rudderow (7 kills, 3 aces, 4 digs), Sophie Holland (3 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks), Merritt Taggart (4 kills) and Tori Fitzpatrick (4 aces).
Analy begins a tough stretch in league this week when they host Petaluma on Sept. 20, followed by a Sept. 22 match at Sonoma Valley (4/5/6:30 p.m.).
