Virginia Rebeca Rodriguez passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on July 10, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Oscar; her children, Oscar (Jackie) Rodriguez, San Francisco, CA; Virginia (Scott) Rice, Jacksonville, FL; Carlos Rodriguez, Clearlake, CA; Rosalinda (Rick) Jurvis, Kenosha, WI; Mario Rodriguez, Cloverdale, CA; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gus, her sister Pilar, her adoring nieces and nephews, a large extended family and very dear friends.
Virginia was born in 1936 in Tlaxcala, Mexico and came to San Francisco in the early 1950s. She married Oscar Rodriguez in 1955. The family lived in Cloverdale for a brief time from 1970 to 1972. However, some very close relationships were developed as she was an active member of the Lutheran Church. Her relationship with God, through her Lord Jesus Christ, sustained her. She openly shared it with others. She returned to Cloverdale for 8 years before recently moving to Florida.
For those who were blessed to have had her in their lives, her love, humor, grace, wisdom, beauty, and compassion will be forever missed.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 El Camino Real, Burlingame, CA.
