Friends of the Healdsburg Library are once again mounting a used
book sale, Friday, Mar. 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Mar. 19
from 10 a.m. to 2 p..m. Friday is “members only” and annual
memberships can be purchased at the door for just $5. Everyone is
invited Saturday to browse the tables of donated books. A
$5-per-bag sale begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Traveling Words
The Bay Area Travel Writers is encouraging all are high school
seniors to enter a writing contest. Entry fee is free and cash
prizes will be awarded. Essays of 500 words or less are being
solicited for competition. The essays must concern a travel
destination, experience or activity. Topics can be of “the other
side of the world or the other side of the street.” Mail entries
between March 1 and April 30 to: High School Writing Contest, 3212
Jefferson St. #261, Napa, CA., 94558. Cash prizes range from $300
to $100.
