Hitter Taylor Cullen took a rip in varsity baseball action for the first-place Tigers.

The Analy baseball Tigers made the most of their lone outing last week, scoring a convincing 9-2 win over visiting Piner.
The win ran Analy’s win streak to seven games and kept the Tigers atop the Sonoma County League standings with a perfect 6-0 record and 14-4 overall.
At the start of play this week the Tigers were a game up on Petaluma (5-1), followed by Sonoma Valley (5-2), Piner (3-4), El Molino (2-5), Healdsburg (2-5) and Elsie Allen (0-6).
 Analy will be back on the diamond this week with scheduled games at Healdsburg (April 26, after press time), followed by a Friday, April 29 showdown at Petaluma 4 p.m.). The Tigers will host Sonoma Valley on Tuesday, May 3 in a 4 p.m. start.
The El Molino Lions (5-11) are coming off a pair of losses in SCL action last week, falling to Petaluma (4-0) and Sonoma (12-4). The Lions resume their league home-stand on April 26 against Elsie Allen and host Healdsburg on April 29 (4 p.m.).
Tigers unscathed
Analy entertained the Piner Prospectors in an April 21 clash in Sebastopol, spotting the visitors a 2-0 first-inning lead. It was the high water of the day for Piner, as the Tigers surged ahead with three runs in the second, later adding five more in the third en route to a 9-2 rout.
Veteran pitcher Gabe Werthimer notched the win for Analy, firing seven innings of five-hit ball, yielding two earned runs and fanning two in a strong outing. Top hitters included Devon Ogston (2 for 4, 5 RBIs), Johnny Gomes (2 for 3, 2 runs), Carter Merlaud (2 for 3, run), Jordan Parks (2 for 2, 2B, run, 2 RBIs), David Codoni (1 for 3) and Nolan Alvarez (1 for 3, run).
Lions drop a pair
The Lions squared off against Petaluma in an April 19 meeting in Forestville, pushing across a pair of runs in the fourth and fifth innings in powering starter Jared Robinson to a 4-0 win.  
El Mo hurlers Austin Sani (4.1 IP, 6 hits, 4 ERs), and Jake Peter (2.2 IP, 1 hit, 1 K) pitched well in defeat, while leading hitters were Austin Cassidy (1 for 2), Sani (1 for 3), and Clay Serano (1 for 2).
The Lions got out to a 3-1 lead in an April 21 home tilt with Sonoma, but the Dragons would explode for four runs in the fifth and six more in the seventh to post a 12-4 win.
Ian Siegert (4 IP, 8 hits, 3 ERs, 4 Ks), Peter (2.2 IP, 6 hits, 6 ERs, LP), and Kyle Kaasch (.1 IP, 3 hits, 1 ER) shared mound duties. Swinging hot bats were Wesley Hamner (2 for 3, run), Sam Wilson (1 for 3, run), Peter (1 for 2, 2 runs), Serano (1 for 3, RBI), Wesley Albini (1 for 1, 2B), Sani (1 for 4, 2B, RBI), TJ Schooley (1 for 3) and Josh Van Rillear (1 for 4).
