Enology, or RAVE Conference for Thursday, March 16. Registration
begins at 8:30 a.m., with lectures to last from 9 a.m. until 4:30
p.m. The conference will be held at Freeborn Hall on the UC Davis
campus. &#8220The Roots of Fine Wine” is the theme for the 2006
Symposium, and will highlight rootstock, water needs, vine growth
and climactic changes that affect the fruit quality. The enrollment
fee of $200 includes the lecture program, a box lunch and one-year

will host four Alexander Valley gold medal winners from the S.F.
Chronicle Wine Tasting on Thursday, March 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
