will celebrate the continuation of the California salmon season
with a barbecue dinner of wild California king salmon on Saturday,
Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bodega Bay Grange, located on
Highway 1. Part of the proceeds from the dinner will to toward
scholarships at Tomales High School. Adult dinners are $17,
children under 10 are $10 and other food and prices are available

Kendall-Jackson Winery
will host its eighth annual Heirloom Tomato Festival on
Saturday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kendall-Jackson
Wine Center, 5007 Fulton Rd., Santa Rosa. The festival, which is a
benefit for the School Garden Network of Sonoma County, features
175 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, gourmet foods, food and wine
seminars and live music. Tickets are $55 each and available by
