Ramping up for boating at the lake
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering its annual boat
launch pass for use of the boat ramp at Lake Sonoma. The $30 price
of the pass (half price for Golden Age card holders) has not
increased since last year and now features a plastic hangtag that
can be transferred from one vehicle to another. The pass is valid
for a year from the date of purchase. Passes are available at the
Milt Brandt Visitor Center at Lake Sonoma, Wednesday through Sunday
from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. or at park headquarters when the visitor

Historical Society hosts luncheon
The Russian River Historical Society will hold a potluck
luncheon Sunday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at the Koret Club in Monte Rio.
The subject of the talk will “Boats and People of the Russian
River.”
