Kucinich backers face the musicLocal supporters
of Dennis Kucinich’s bid for the Democratic presidential nomination
will hold a pair of benefit concerts to raise money for their
candidate. The first is a house concert featuring Moss Henry
(topical and provocative folk singer) to be held Saturday, Jan. 31
at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12-$25. For information, call Linda at
823-0582. The second show features Modern Hicks, Antoinette Olesen
and Moss Henry at New College of California on Friday, Feb. 13 at 8

Scholarships for Hispanic studentsThe Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce of Sonoma County is inviting Hispanic high
school seniors to apply for the chamber’s 2004 scholarships.
Applications have been mailed to all Sonoma County high schools.
Students who plan to attend a college or trade school next fall are
encouraged to apply. The scholarship awards will be presented to
the winners during a reception in May. If high school counselors do
not have the applications, students may request them from the
chamber office by calling 577-7129, or the Community Foundation
Sonoma County at 579-4073.
