Dining Out for Life is next week
It’s times once again for the Dining Out for Life event that
raises funds for Food for Thought – Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank in
Forestville. It’s a simple, easy and very enjoyable way to raise
money for a wonderful organization. You simply dine at one of the
participating restaurants on Thursday, Dec. 2. The participating
restaurants have agreed to donate 25 percent of the day’s revenues
to Food for Thought. It’s a great idea and a great fund-raiser. For

Human Rights Award winners
Five individuals/organizations will receive a 2004 Rev. James E.
Coffee Human Rights Award for their work toward social justice and
human rights causes that promote and protect the dignity and
respect of Sonoma County citizens. They will be honored on Dec. 10,
International Human Rights Day, at the Jackson Theater on the
campus of the Sonoma Country Day School. The event will feature
keynote speaker Martin Luther King III.
The award winners include Kendra Haskenick, Jesse Love, The
Survivor Project/Listening Project, Agilent Technologies, and
Shirley Gordon. Tickets to the Dec. 10 event are on sale and
available by calling 565-2693. Proceeds from the event will benefit
the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights’ Hate Free Campus
Project.
