Conjectures, Etceteras
Museum hosts “Sonoma Confidential”
The Sonoma County Museum is celebrating its 20th anniversary by
investigating the museum’s permanent collection of photographs with
selected art and artifacts, to reveal the hidden stories of the
county. The exhibit is on display through July 10. The show is
co-curated by Gaye and John LeBaron. Using snapshots, scrapbooks,
portraits and artist photographs, the exhibit tells the intimate
stories of families, public scandals, infamous outlaws and the
underground accounts of immigrant life. A second exhibit includes
Gaye LeBaron’s oral history archives and installations of unsung
notables, such as Robert D. Thomas who designed the Grateful Dead’s
logo.
