Monte Rio raffle to restore sign
The Monte Rio Chamber of Commerce is holding a fund-raising
raffle to restore the “Welcome to Monte Rio – Vacation Wonderland”
sign that greets visitors. The raffle features $2,000 in cash
prizes – $1,000 grand prize, $600 second prize and $400 third
prize. The donation is $10 per ticket and only 700 tickets will be
sold. The drawing will be held Saturday, May 29 during the Chamber
of Commerce’s Memorial Day Barbecue. Tickets are available at
Fern’s Grocery, Northwood Golf Club and Restaurant, Rio Theater,
Village Inn & Restaurant and the Wonderland Cafe.
KRCB hosts travel & leisure auction
KRCB Television 22 will air its 7th annual televised Travel and
Leisure Auction, “Travel Quest 2004” on Friday, May 7 through
Sunday, May 9 and Friday, May 14 through Sunday, May 16 at 6:30
p.m. Fridays and 6 p.m. weekends.From the comfort of your own home
you can bid on patio furniture, adventure travel, fine dining and
unique cruises. Proceeds benefit the the PBS television station.
