Conjectures, Etceteras
Filmmakers get their due
Not only did we forget to mention their names, but the premiere
of their film started five minutes early. Two West County film
makers, Willa Amorelli and Harry Zollinger, worked for a year on
the film “Patrick’s Gallery,” which aired Jan. 22 on public TV
Channel 22. An item in this space two weeks ago about the film,
featuring Sebastopol artist Patrick Amiot and his wife Brigitte
Laurent, failed to mention Amorelli and Zollinger, both West County
residents who are film students at the El Molino Adult Education
program. Slotted for an 11:30 p.m. start, the film aired five
minutes before schedule, so many of those who were planning to tune
in (and record it) missed the beginning. Amorelli and Zollinger are
hopeful that KRCB will air it again in the near future.
Healdsburg Community Band
The Healdsburg Community Band will holds its Winter Pops Concert
on Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Healdsburg Community Church at 7:30 p.m.
Led by the inimitable Lew Sbrana, the band will perform “Gershwin!”
featuring masterpieces by one of America’s most renowned
songwriters, George Gershwin, including “Someone to Watch Over Me,”
“I Got Rythm” and Embraceable You.” Tickets are just $5.
