Golf tourney for music in schools
The second annual Musicians’ Cup Golf Tournament will test the
golfing skills of local musicians and their friends and benefit the
Mr. Music Foundation, which supports music in West County
elementary schools. Who else but the inimitable Mr. Music himself
(aka Jim Corbett) could put together such an event, which will be
held at the Bodega Harbour Golf Links on Sunday, Oct. 17. The
four-man, best-ball format includes the requirement that every team
must have at least one musician. Cost is $135 per golfer. Call

Golf for the skate park, too
The Sebastopol Skate Park and Community Garden
project will host a “Golf n’ Groove” benefit tournament at
the Sebastopol Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. The $85
entry fee includes dinner (starting at 5:30 p.m.) and golf, along
with goodies, drink tickets and music by Shana Morrison and The
Claddagh Band. Dinner and music are available for $40. Call
