The bridge is fine

Editor: So the feds and the state will pay 90 percent of the
$2.8 million to check on our old bridge over the Russian River to
make sure it is safe. That still leaves 10 percent … $280,000 for
us Healdsburgians to pay … That’s $25 apiece from every one of
us.
The damn bridge is fine! I wouldn’t pay a dime to anyone to
check it until it starts leaning or falling into the river. This
damn payout is a joke to me.
Why not just burn our tax money under the bridge? At least we’d
get a good bonfire going with some songs and Kumbaya!
