The Russian River Wine Road will be collecting food and cash
donations for the Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) during its 27th
annual barrel tasting March 4, 5, and 6. More than 100
participating wineries will have barrels on site to collect food
donations from barrel tasting visitors.
In addition, 60 wineries will have a REFB counter display where
visitors also can make cash donations to the food bank and half the
$10 price of the Russian River Wine Road’s annual wine barrel
tasting poster will be donated to the REFB.
Girls have Power – here’s the
date
Last week in the bottom right corner of this page we printed an
item about the Girl Power 2005 event scheduled for the Raven
Theater. Problem was we printed the wrong date. So the show will be
held on Sunday, March 13 (not the 15th) with doors opening at 5
p.m. and the show starting at 5:30 p.m. The show features up and
coming female bands, including Two Ton Boa, Charming Hostess,
Petracovic, Bad Kissers and Blue. Tickets are $10 in advance and
$15 at the door.
