Subject using stolen credit cards
The Healdsburg Police Department (HPD) is seeking a man who is accused of using stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases at local stores, including Safeway, Starbucks, Rite Aid and CVS. The first theft and fraud took place on March 15 and the second on March 16.
A statement put out by the HPD reads, in part, “Identification sought for felony fraud suspect. Credit cards were stolen out of residents’ vehicles and then used at local Healdsburg stores. Items purchased included greeting cards and hundreds of dollars in gift cards. Suspect described as white male in his 20s, with brown hair and brown facial hair. He was carrying a short “penny” skateboard and backpack in the 03/26 incident.
“Anyone with information is encouraged to call Healdsburg Police Officer Katie Close at 431-3377. Cases 17-315, 17-363. And as a friendly reminder, bring your valuables inside and lock your vehicles.”
