RECOGNIZED – Soroptimist International of Healdsburg honored
eight students from schools throughout the Healdsburg and
Geyserville communities last week at an achievement recognition
lunch at diVine. These students all showed remarkable progress in
their studies during the past year. Pictured above are Soroptimist
member Wendy Bertalon, Healdsburg Junior High School fifth grader
Jose Delgado, St. John School eighth grader Jacob LeBrett, West
Side Elementary School sixth grader Taylor Dugan, St. John School
sixth grader Michelle Patin, Geyserville Elementary School sixth
grader Lesley Ferreira and Soroptimist award chairman Maggie
Metrulas. Those honored but unable to attend included Alexander
Valley Elementary School fifth grader Alfred Hernandez, Fitch
Mountain campus fifth grader Andrea Avila and Geyserville Middle
School eighth grader Melanie Eddinger. Each student received an
invitation to a pizza lunch, a certificate of recognition and a $25
gift certificate to Copperfield’s Books.
