Here’s what’s happening at the senior center: 

TED Talks, Monday, August 6, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas in the form of short, powerful talks that are 18 minutes or less. TED aims to provide a platform for thinkers, visionaries and teachers, so that people around the globe can gain a better understanding of the biggest issues faced by the world and feed a desire to help create a better future. Bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy this fascinating ongoing viewing of different TED Talk videos. This is a social group and discussion is encouraged. Free to attend.
Tai Chi, Tuesdays, August 7 through 28, 11 a.m. to noon, $24 for Windsor residents, $28 non-residents. Tai Chi emphasizes mental and physical ability, body alignment, circulation and balance. Tai Chi is proven to positively impact the health of the heart, nerves and muscles and the mind. You must pre-register for this four-week class online or at the senior center front desk. Computer Users Group, Monday, August 13, 1 to 4 p.m. $3; Newcomers are free. Our guest speaker will be Vicki Chavez, librarian at the Windsor Library, who will discuss, “How to Use Free Library E-Books and Audiobooks.” A general Q&A period will be from 1 to 2 p.m. and our guest speaker will begin at 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.sonic.net/wscug .
