Sherryll Ann Petersen – Passionate gardener and cook; loved by all

Sherryll Ann Petersen was born in San Francisco on September 20,
1936, and entered into rest on July 9, 2007, after a long and
courageous battle with cancer. Sherryll was the daughter of the
late Joseph and Mae (O’Leary) Gyorgy and an alumni of St. Vincent
High School of San Francisco. She moved to Healdsburg in 1962 where
she raised a loving family and worked for more than 30 years at E
& M Electric. She is survived by her four children, Stephen J.
Spaulding, Matthew J. Spaulding, Carol L. Sobeck and Richard W.
Spaulding; two stepchildren, Loretta Strong and Robert Petersen;
her brother, William Gyorgy and eight grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband of more than 25 years, Norman
Petersen. Sherryll was an incredible cook, a passionate gardener
and a person loved by all whose lives she touched. She will be
greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend a
visitation at the Windsor-Healdsburg Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood
Highway on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. A memorial service
will follow on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the mortuary chapel
beginning at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. The family
requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory
