Cloverdale resident since 2006
Q. What brought you to Cloverdale?
A. I grew up in the Bay Area and spent a lot of time in this area with my parents when I was growing up. My daughter, her husband and my two grandchildren had been living in Cloverdale for about 15 years. I decided I wanted to be closer to them so I moved here from where I was living in Rohnert Park.
Q. What keeps you here?
A. My daughter and grandchildren are still here and I convinced my youngest daughter to move here. I have eight kids and the rest of them live in Petaluma and Santa Rosa area, so they’re all around here. But moving to Cloverdale was probably the best thing I ever did. I love the town. Everyone is so friendly and we all help each other out. I have participated in a lot of things. I helped the people who ran the Vino di Amore tasting room. I volunteer. I am in Kiwanis so I do a lot of things with them. It keeps me busy. My daughter told me when I moved here, “Give it a year here, Mom, and you’ll know everyone in town,” and she was right.
