The SLL kicked off its 62nd season with a full slate of activities at Clahan/Laguna Park, beginning with the traditional parade of teams and introductions. The day’s activities included a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and Hit-a-Thon, followed by major and junior division games in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the El Molino Little League held its annual Opening Day ceremony at the Forestville Youth Park on Saturday, with festivities running from 8 a.m. until noon.
This year both leagues combine to field 40 teams in divisions ranging from t-ball to seniors, with regular season games being played through May. The Tournament of Champions follow in June and both leagues will wrap up play in District 35 All Star tournaments in July.
