Locks of love – Five years ago Josh Buchignani, then in first
grade, was inspired by his mother, Jen Buchignani when she donated
16 inches of her hair to Locks for Love. He decided he wanted to do
the same and set a goal of growing a 16-inch braid that he could
donate as well. He stuck with is goal though all of elementary
school and in October, at a hair cutting party thrown by his
family, his mom and dad gave him an 18-inch haircut.
“It was the most selfless act you can do. He set his mind and
heart to a goal and he reached it,” his mother said. About 40 of
his friends and family attended the party. Pictured above is Josh
with his father, Thomas Loos and mother Jen.
