Ruth McGreevey Suma, 78, of Sebastopol, died peacefully on Jan. 1.

Her sons Scott, of Aspen, Colorado and Doug, of Sebastopol were
at her side. Born in Ohio, Ruth and her husband, Frank Suma, moved
to Rockford, IL where they established their home for the next 30
years. Ruth was involved in many clubs, organizations and charity
events. She loved entertaining at home and her parties were famous.
Ruth moved to Sebastopol in 1999 to live with her son Doug and
enjoyed all that the Wine Country has to offer. Her passions were
tending her roses, walks, throwing the ball for her dog Mollie and
hosting dinner and bingo parties. A celebration of her life and
dedication of a new rose garden will be held in April at the home
of her son Doug in Sebastopol.
