Russell D. Smith: veteran of the Korean Conflict

Russell D. Smith, 71, a resident of Cloverdale, passed away in
Santa Rosa on December 27, 2003. He was the loving husband of 33
years to Ardis E. Smith; beloved father and father-in-law of Candi
and Glenn McHenry, and Richard Smith, all of Woodstock, Georgia;
Brian Smith of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Karen Smith of San
Francisco; devoted son of Dorothy Smith-Cory of Geyserville and the
late Vestel Smith; dearest brother and brother-in-law of Vestel D.
Smith, Jr. of Cloverdale, Kathy Brock, Sue and Joe Pelanconi, all
of Geyserville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joel,
Sarah, Adrian and several nieces and nephews. Russ was a member of
Grace Lutheran Church of Ukiah. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean
Conflict having served on the USS Helena. Russell was a native of
McLean, Texas. Memorial Services are pending at Grace Lutheran
Church, Ukiah. Memorial donations to the Heart Fund or the general
fund of Grace Lutheran Church, Ukiah would be appreciated.
