The Sonoma County Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold a
free CPR Saturday event in mid-August during which they will aim to
train 500 people in one day. The event, “CPR Saturday,” takes place
on Aug. 13, at the Sonoma County Veterans Building in Santa Rosa
from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required. The day will
consist of a one-hour CPR class complete with a video, followed by
practice and skills testing on mannequins, and finally, a written
exam. The participants will receive CPR certification from the Red
Cross upon completion of training. The entire process takes from

Greeting for the Bohos

Protesters will take to the streets of Monte Rio this Friday,
Saturday and Sunday to greet the annual encampment of the Bohemian
Club. Friday there will be an all-day vigil at the gates. Saturday
at 11 a.m. will be a protest parade and Sunday at the Monte Rio
Amphitheater will be bands, speakers, workshops, info tables and
