Family support — Alejandro Dominguez and his parents.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County’s annual Healdsburg fundraiser was held on April 21 at the Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg.
This year’s theme was “It’s A Carnival,” featuring carnival games, a face painter and balloon animals.
A press release from the organization said it wishes to to thank the efforts of the Healdsburg and Geyserville Community Council for their efforts in making the record-shattering event a success.
Members include council chair Jim Dadaos, Bob Angell, Gretchen Crebs, Bob Durler, Parke Hafner, Renee Mengali, Eddie Merideth, Erik Olsen, Whitney Opperman, Rick Stafford and event chair Elise Bulger.
Major sponsors of the event include: Clos Du Bois, E&J Gallo Winery, Big John’s Market, the Bulger family, Jackson Family Wines Collection, Max Machinery, Inc., Silver Oak/Twomey, Bear Republic Brewing Company, Draxton, Hafner Vineyard, Tri Star Automotive, Bank of Marin, Brandt Insurance, Bushtracks Expeditions, Gondola-Kinne Insurance Agency, Inc., Silveira, Summit State Bank and Yvonne Schell and Steve Miller
The attendees of the event heard a speech given by Boys & Girls Club member, Alejandro Dominguez, a 15-year-old sophomore at Healdsburg High School who has attended the club since he was in the fourth grade.
He shared the impact the club has had on him and how the staff at the club have inspired him.
With camps in nine communities, the club will provide enriching programs for more than 1,200 Sonoma County kids every day this summer.
The club is registering members now in Healdsburg (and across the county) for summer programs.
Summer camp staff provide campers breakfast, lunch and meaningful opportunities for growth and development. Learn more at bgccsc.org/summer
