will celebrate the vernal equinox (beginning of spring) and the
simultaneous release of their Rhone-style “Vin Gris” rosé with a
food-focused open house on Saturday, March 27 at their winery
located at 9282 West Dry Creek Rd. The winery staff will hand stuff
the Prestons’ traditional Genovese-style ravioli, and serve a
panoply of Rhone varietals. There will also be rustic al
forno-baked loaves from the winery brick oven and their estate
olive oil will also be available for sampling and purchase. The
public is invited to this event from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A $15
admission fee will be charged at the door. For information, call

Author and chef Jack Burton
will teach a two-hour California Cuisine cooking class starting
in March at the Healdsburg Senior Center. The class will start
March 23 and continue on March 30 and April 6. The class will start
at 4 p.m. and include samples, instruction manuals and recipes. The
cost is $40 per person. Call 431-3324 to register.
