Paul J. Lessard, 92, passed away on June 10, 2007 in Santa
Rosa. He was born in San Francisco, raised in New York and has been
a Sonoma County resident since 1958. Lessard served his country in
the USCG-Merchant Marines in World War II, Korean Conflict, Japan,
Germany and Vietnam. He enjoyed ceramics, wood-working, baseball,
football, auto mechanics and, most of all, being with his family
and friends. He was also a godfather to poor children in Salaverry,
Peru. 
He is survived by his wife Connie Lessard of Sebastopol; three
sons, Paul Jr. and George Lessard of Arizona and John Lessard of
Oakland; daughter, Jackie Lessard of Santa Rosa; grandson, Justin
Lessard of Colorado; and granddaughter, Bianca Chanduvi of Santa
Rosa. 
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11
a.m. at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park, 1700 Pleasant Hill Road,
Sebastopo, with a reception to follow to celebrate his life at the
family home. Donations may be made in his name to the American
Heart Association.
