Patricia Ann McGill Reese of Windsor, CA passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the age of 99.
Patricia was born to Robert Emmett McGill and Lucille Mariella Speetzen on June 3, 1918. She was the 2nd of 4 children and was educated in schools around the bay area as her family moved for work.
In 1939, Patricia married Llewellyn H Reese and raised 2 children. Patsy and her husband managed Oakland Feather River Camp near Quincy, CA for 4 years before buying Riverlane Resort in Guerneville which they operated for many more years.
Patricia loved hobby gardening and especially appreciated friend Yvonne for helping her to keep a productive garden growing in the backyard during her final years. She enjoyed playing music and taught herself the piano, guitar, banjo and harp. Patsy loved to paint landscapes and still life and sketched in pencil and charcoal. She was also an avid quilter and loved to sew.
Patricia belonged to the Russian River Pallet Club, the Catholic church ladies auxiliary group in Guerneville and to the senior center quilting group in Windsor, CA.
Patsy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Ron Andersen of Lincoln City, OR; grandsons Eric Andersen and Levi Andersen of Vancouver, Washington; 3 great grandchildren Chain Andersen, Logan Andersen and Kiera Andersen of Beaverton, OR; and other nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her son Richard A. Reese and 3 brothers Col Robert McGill, Lt Col William Keith and John Keith.
Cremation will be handled by The Neptune Society and private burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Windsor, CA where she will rest in peace near her beloved son Richard A. Reese. A celebration of life will be announced in the future. The family is very grateful for the support and condolences they have received from family and friends.
