A men’s clothing boutique that has lived at 103 Plaza St. along the north side of the Healdsburg plaza for over a quarter-century will lock up for the final time at 7pm this Saturday, Feb. 1. The owner of Outlander, Bill Bryant, writes in a farewell message on his website: “After more than 25 years of great business in the amazing town of Healdsburg, it’s time to retire. I just turned 70 and we have two beautiful grandkids we want to spend more time with. So, thanks to all of our wonderful customers for the excellent years.”
And by “we,” he means he and his wife Chris, who runs a sister boutique called One-o-One next door, selling women’s clothes instead of men’s clothes. And that one isn’t going anywhere! The Press Democrat that “between the two stores, Outlander seemed like the more logical one to close because [Chris] is much more passionate about One-O-One than her husband, now 70, is about Outlander.”
So, anyway — you now have one day left to hit up the storewide 70%-off sale at Outlander, before it closes for good. “Come in and enjoy big value as we liquidate our carefully curated inventory of terrific men’s clothing for Wine Country living,” the owners say. “All displays and fixtures on sale, too.” The lady who runs the popular Instagram account Shop Local Healdsburg stopped by and found “sunglasses, jeans, jackets, ties, button-down shirts, and randomly, car grills that’s been used as wall decor” — yes, all 70% off. Get it while it’s hot!
