She was born in Paint Lick, Kentucky, the oldest of 10 children.
She met her husband, Henry Yoshida, in Dayton, Ohio, where they
married and had a son, David. In 1962, they moved to San Jose and
later had a daughter, Lisa. Upon Henry’s retirement in 1996, they
moved to Windsor to be closer to Lisa, her husband Jim Hunt, M.D.,
and their grandchildren, Zoe and Sam Hunt. Ora was a wonderful
mother who worked for many years for Eastfield Children’s Center in
Campbell as the food service manager, but was always able to take
her kids to their athletic practices and to watch every game they
played. She was a devoted wife to Henry for 48 years and
grandmother to Zoe and Sam, at all times thinking of their
happiness and well-being. She loved cooking, gardening, watching
sports, movies and traveling. Since moving to Windsor she enjoyed
the friendship of the members of the Airport Club’s PACE class. She
also received great pleasure from being a member of the LBC Guild
and volunteering for SMOVA. In accordance with her wishes, there
will be no service. If donations are desired, they may be made in
her memory to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa,
95401.
