Coach Dave Avila’s 7th grade boys team staved off a furious fourth quarter rally from St. Francis to win 32-31 in Catholic Youth Organization play. The Our Lady of Guadalupe team used a 14-point second quarter outburst to go up 20-16 at the half.

The third frame saw the locals push the lead to 28-19 but the visitors from Sonoma put on a late game full court press to battle back. The win put the defending Division III champions at 2-5 with three games left in the North Bay CYO regular season.

Elijah Sanders led OLG with seven points and Mason Beeler followed with six. Nico Zamora and Alec Ochoa each contributed five while Justin Lee and Caden Towery added three each.
