Lady of Guadalupe Church’s 25 teams are down to two weeks of North Bay Catholic Youth Organization regular season play. Coach Erika Boyles eighth grade girls team secured a playoff spot with an exciting 37-34 victory over St. Vincent of Petaluma in this week’s OLG CYO game of the week.
The local girls led 20-11 at the half. They had to hold off St. Vincent’s 13 point fourth quarter run to even their league record at 4-4.
Maddie Washburn turned in one of the season’s best performances as she finished with 23 points to lead all scorers. Rebecca Reed followed with nine points. Grace Boyle and Olivia Hohnstein rounded out the OLG scoring with three and two points respectively.
OLG CYO Basketball has 265 boys and girls, of all skill levels, playing this season. They play their home games at Windsor Middle School on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
