Our Lady of Guadalupe’s fourth grade boys team led wire to wire to grab a 37-18 victory in this week’s Catholic Youth Organization game of the week. The win over St. Vincent of Petaluma left coach Rod Harris’ team with a 9-1 record to close out the North Bay CYO regular season. They earned the #1 seed in this weekend’s playoffs.
The Windsor club led 23-10 at the half then proceeded to hold St. Vincent to eight second half points. Bennett Black had a strong game and led all scorers with 16 points. Brayden Calegari followed with five. Mateo Elliott, Brayden Ganino and Dylan Webb all contributed four. Payton Bertlin and Kieran Harris closed out the OLG scorers with two each.
This weekend will see a full slate of NBCYO semi final games. OLG will be hosting games from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at Windsor Middle School.
