the 10th annual dinner, dance and auction sponsored by the
Sonoma County Task Force on the Homeless takes place this week,
Thursday, Oct. 14 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Paradise Ridge Winery,
4545 Thomas Lake Harris Dr. in Santa Rosa. Proceeds will benefit
the task force’s work to eliminate chronic homelessness. The group
works collaboratively to develop homeless shelters and services, to
garner funding, to educate the community about homeless issues and
to advocate for affordable housing. Tickets and information are

Pedroncelli Winery
will host its annual open house and end of harvest party on
Saturday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1220 Canyon Road in
Geyserville. The free event will feature current release wines,
library wines, famous sausage, barbecue, bocce ball, an art exhibit
and beautiful vineyard views. Local author Joe Pelanconi will be
signing copies of his new book, “Vino & Biscotti.” There will
