Joan Theresa LaForge
Proud grandmother
Joan Theresa (Drummey) LaForge was born on Feb. 14, 1931, and died suddenly on Oct. 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Joan Drummey, her sister Dorothy Hohne and her grandson, Johnny LaForge IV. Joan is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, John Henry LaForge Jr., her sisters, Virginia Goodman of LaHabra, CA, and Shirley Wills of Grants Pass, Oregon, and her nine children: Nancy (Dave) Hancock of Boise, Idaho, John III (Sally) LaForge of Sebastopol, Donna (Ken) Hawkes of Wilsall, Montana, Roger (Lynette) LaForge of Santa Rosa, CA, Sharon (Eugene) Vannetti of Sebastopol, Mark (Lori) LaForge of Occidental, Roy (Janine) LaForge of Windsor, Gene LaForge of Colorado David LaForge of Vermont. She was very proud of her 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 398 10th St., Santa Rosa, CA. A rosary vigil will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, at 5:30 p.m., and a funeral mass was held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m.. A reception followed. There ws no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Joan’s name.
Orrill Mae Stedman
Student and teacher
Orrill Mae Stedman was born on Jan. 19 1938 in Sebastopol and died on Oct. 31 2015 in Scottsdale Arizona. She is predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Orrill Stedman and sister Calista Wiggington. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Stedman of Fortuna, California, brother Steve Stedman (Nancy) of Sebastopol, brother-in-law Leo Wiggington of Hot Springs, Arizona as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Orrill Mae was a graduate of Analy High School, Humboldt State University, University of California and Arizona State University. She was a member of MENSA, Phi Delta Kappa, NEA, AZEA, PETS, Arizona ORFF, Schuleverk AZ, The Buffalo Sisters and their Chili Team. She taught for 38 years and finished her career in Phoenix.
Inurnment is private and located at the Sebastopol Memorial Lawn. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
