Janice Davis

Our dear sister Janice passed away May 25, 2019 at 80 years old. She has lived in Cloverdale nearly all of her 80 years. Preceded in death by our parents Ollie and Thelma Davis of Cloverdale and brothers Don Gladden of Crescent City, Ken Gladden of Cloverdale, Deryle Davis of Santa Rose, and Robert Davis of Cloverdale. Further survived by her sister Barbara Fraser of Cloverdale, brothers Frank Davis of Cloverdale, Danny Davis of Ukiah, and Dennis Davis of Cloverdale and also many nieces and nephews.

Bernard Kreissman

Bern Kreissman died peacefully in his daughter’s arms, June 5. He was born June 17, 1919, to Sonia and Nathan Kreissman in New York City. Nathan died when Bern was very young, leaving Bern and his three brother Jules, George and David to be raised by Sonia. Sonia worked hard, and struggled, undiagnosed, with Addison’s disease for many years. 

Robert Goodyear

Robert passed away on June 6, 2019 in Cloverdale. Born in Healdsburg on December 7, 1951 to the late Robert and Caroline Goodyear, owner of Jimtown Store. He is survived by his twin sister Bobbie Goodyear (Jimmy McManus) of Cloverdale; Carole Goodyear of OR; aunt Caterina Teldeschi of Healdsburg; and numerous cherished cousins. He was a member of St John’s Catholic Church.

Jay Allen Cantor

Jay Allen Cantor passed away at home on April 28, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Penny Palmer Cantor, sister Caryn Parmelee, nephew Chris Parmelee and daughter, Sierra Cantor, son-in-law Gary Neargarder, grandson Benjamin Neargarder and granddaughter Maile Neargarder. 

Mario B. Michelon

Mario Michelon was born in Hilt, California on October 31,1932 and died at the age of 86 on May 25, 2019. He was a resident and active member of the Cloverdale community for 58 years. Mario attended elementary school in Hilt and graduated from Yreka High School. He earned a degree in Education from Chico State College. That is also where he and his wife, Marilyn, met. They married a year later, worked for two years in the Sacramento Robla School District, and then found Cloverdale. 

Fredia J Humphries-Maraganis

Fredia Janette Humphries Maraganis, a long time resident of Clearlake, passed away at the home of her beloved niece, Lorenda House, in Cloverdale on the 16th of May, 2019.

Sharon Hibler Wunderlich

Longtime local Sebastopol resident Sharon Wunderlich passed away in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her three sons William, Nicale, and Wyeth, and her husband Theodore on May 22nd, 2019. In addition to her three sons and husband, Sharon is also survived by her stepdaughter Heather Wunderlich Hatton; her mother, Esther Hibler; her sisters Diane Klein, Lauren Cristina, and Karin Pevsner; and her brother Sheldon Hibler, all of New York.
