Donald Lamarr Williams
Donald Lamarr Williams; son to Robert Oscar Williams and Thelma
May Sanderson, born Dec 29, 1936 in San Francisco and an eight year
resident of Windsor has died of pancreatic cancer on April 19, 2009
in the presence of his loving wife Olga Williams and the brothers
of the Kingdom Hall and Hospice of Windsor. He was 72.
He leaves behind brother Bob Williams and sister Judy Smith; A
son Joseph Williams and two daughters Patricia Burgess and Eileen
F. Smith plus numerous grandchildren and also an uncle Carl
Henderson.
He leaves behind also his loving wife Olga Williams of four
years and six months marriage and her children Fred Goddard,
Theresa Seminoff (Dan), Theodora Janssen, Angelo Goddard (Stacy),
Angela Garcia (Floren), Michael Williams (Judy) with numerous grand
children and great grandchildren.
Donald was a man of faith, baptized with his wife Olga on Oct.
6, 2007. He loved the outdoors and his camera made true all that he
enjoyed. He loved to travel and spread the love of Jehovah.
His resting place was held on May 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. in
Lafeyette at the Oakmont Memorial Park.
All arrangements and cremation were done by Carmen Romano of
Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary of Windsor.
Lupe Perezchica
Lupe Perezchica, August 27, 1939-May 9, 2009, passed away
peacefully at the age of 69 surrounded by his loving family.
Lupe, son of Jose and Ana Perezchica grew up and lived most of
his adult life in the Windsor area.  After serving his country in
the U.S. Navy he married the love of his life Barbara, his wife of
47 years. Lupe was the patriarch of his family and family
business.  Starting in the swimming pool industry in 1972, he
co-founded Johnson Pools Inc. and later retired after 33 years in
the field.
His tremendous work ethic and craftsmanship has inspired many in
the industry today including the third generation in his family. In
his early years he was an avid hunter and fisherman until the day
he played his first round of golf. Winning several club
championships at both Wikiup and Windsor, Lupe loved the game.
He brought a smile to the faces of everyone he met and will be
missed beyond words.  Lupe is survived by wife Barbara, daughters
Tina Feeney (Mike), Monette Silva (Mark), son Matt Perezchica
(Sheri), grandchildren Aaron Johnson, Alex Johnson, Clark Feeney,
Chandler Feeney, Ashland Feeney, Lauren Silva, Leanna Silva, Jerad
Leon, and Bella Perezchica, cat Stubby, numerous brothers and
sisters, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a Rosary on May 14, 2009 at 7
p.m. and a Funeral Mass on May 15, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s
Catholic Church, 208 Matheson St., Healdsburg, CA.  A celebration
of life will be held following the burial at Charlie’s Grill at the
Windsor Golf Course.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St.
Joseph Hospice.  
Jerry David Petersen – Lived his entire life in Dry
Creek Valley

Jerry David Petersen passed away at his home in Geyserville on
May 10, 2009 at the age of 63.
Jerry was born in Healdsburg to Carl and Alice Petersen on
December 15, 1945. He attended both Geyserville and Healdsburg
schools.
Jerry lived his entire life in the Dry Creek Valley where he was
an avid rancher and hunter. He was a member of the Winegrowers of
Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County Farm Bureau and Geyserville Chamber
of Commerce.
On most days, you would find Jerry enjoying the good life on the
front porch of his Dry Creek home or traveling next door each
morning to have coffee with his mother. Many friends and family
would always take the time to drop by to say hello and have a nice
glass of wine. He loved his family and enjoyed Sunday dinners with
his wife and daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years Barbara
Petersen; their daughters Tracy Petersen-Garces, her husband Ponch
and their children Kylea, Payton and Tyson of Santa Rosa and
Kimberly Petersen-Nelson, her husband Brian and their son Alexander
of Cloverdale. He is also survived by his mother Alice Petersen of
Dry Creek; brothers Carl and his wife Beth Petersen of Sunnyvale,
CA; John and his wife Jackie Petersen of Fieldbrook, CA; Pete and
his wife Marian of Redding, CA; Ed and his wife Naneta of Sonoma,
CA; granddaughters Jennifer Navarro of Oakland, CA, Trisha Turner
of Santa Rosa, CA and grandson Daniel Ross of Geyserville, CA.
He will be greatly missed by family and many friends he has made
throughout his life and the community that he was such a big part
of.
The family invites friends at a Celebration of Life out at the
ranch this Saturday at 2 p.m.

Eva W. Del Conte – Born in Berlin
Entered peacefully in to rest at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in
the presence of loving friends on April 28, 2009.
She was born in Berlin, March 15, 1932 during the reign of
terror.
A survivor of the bombing of Berlin, and escaping the horrors of
the Holocaust. Many in her family were not so fortunate.
Her parents were the late Curt and Martha Stock Dietrich.  She
migrated to the United States from Germany with her husband
Michael. They were re-married on June 26, 1954 at St. Martin’s
Church in San Jose, Ca. to fulfill the wishes of Michael’s parents.
The young couple settled there for many years where she worked for
Hewlett Packard. Michael preceded Eva in death, passing on Oct.12,
2004.
The couple moved north to Santa Rosa and were early residents of
the Santa Rosa development, Wikiup.  Eva was granted United States
Citizenship on March 11, 1960.
A private graveside service was held on May 6, 2009, where her
remains were entombed with her late husband.  The service was at
Oakmound Cemetery in Healdsburg.
A “gathering of friends” will take place on Sunday, May 17 at 2
p.m. The ‘pot luck’ gathering will be in the church hall of the
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 1402 University Ave, in Healdsburg
(433-3835). Feel free to bring your game boards, your deck of cards
etc. to join in a day of celebration and stories of your memories
of Eva, “granny” to so many of us. 
We encourage you to write down your stories of Eva (and Michael)
and bring them to the gathering. We will put them in a book form to
share with everyone. Even if you cannot attend the gathering,
please send your experiences of Eva to us. We will continue to add
to Eva’s legacy as more ‘stories’ come in for publication.

Lois F. (Hoy) Wendt – Active church member in
Healdsburg

Lois Wendt passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2009, with
her family by her side. She was born on August 2,1921 in Clear
Lake, South Dakota. In 1923, she moved to the family’s dairy ranch
just south of Healdsburg with her parents, J. Lee and Grace Hoy.
The family operated the Sanitary Dairy and provided milk to the
community for many years.
Lois first met her husband of 68 years, William R. (Bill) Wendt
in the Federated Church choir. She always said she fell in love
immediately because he had blue eyes, two suits, and a beautiful
voice. Together they established and ran the Wil-lo laundry in
Healdsburg.
She was an active member of the Federated Church and Healdsburg
Community Church, doing volunteer work at the church every week
until very recently. She was a longtime member of Circle Two. She
worked as an office manager for Dr. Robert Spencer’s dental office
in Santa Rosa for 27 years until her retirement in 1982.
Lois was talented and creative. She was an excellent pianist,
poet, artist, seamstress, and businesswoman. Lois loved the
comforts of home, reading, music, needlework, line dancing, and the
color pink. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Lois is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Judy Chagnon
(Richard) of Pleasanton, son Larry Wendt of Santa Rosa, and
daughter Joanna Rogers (Neal) of Healdsburg. Predeceased by her
brother, George C. Hoy, she is survived by her sister Marian Jones
(Bob) of Windsor and brother Philip Hoy (Bette) of Tampa, Florida,
six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on
Sunday, May 24, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Healdsburg Community Church,
1100 University Street, Healdsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made in Lois’s name to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave.,
Santa Rosa, CA, 95401.
Daniel Oberti – Artist, teacher, activist
Daniel Oberti, who was born February 26, 1945, died Saturday,
May 2, 2009 at home in Sebastopol. A native San Franciscan and
graduate of Sacred Heart High School, he moved to Sonoma County in
1978 where he devoted his life to his craft. He was an accomplished
artist, teacher, lecturer, community activist and mentor. His art
may be seen in the local community, throughout the Bay Area and
world-wide. Oberti is survived by his daughter Aimee Murray her
husband Tom, and grandchildren Emma, Maddie and Carter; brother
Fred and his wife Martha; sister Betty and her husband Harold;
nieces and nephews Frank, Cathy, Maria, Dolly, Charlotte, Bill,
Tino and Jen and a multitude of grandnieces, grandnephews, and dear
friends.
Jimmie Allen Ray – Graton Fire volunteer, Analy
grad

Jimmie Ray died on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Ray was born on
August 8, 1942 in Lajunta, CO, and lived in Arkansas until he was
two years old, he then moved to Healdsburg with his family. He
attended Windsor Elementary and was a member of the Cub Scouts Pack
20. He also attended Pacific Christian Academy, and was an alumni
of Analy High School. He played baseball in his younger years and
was an avid Dodgers fan, and also volunteered for the Graton Fire
Department. A gifted and talented auto body repairman and painter,
he was well known for his artistry in painting automobiles, earning
the name “The Dipper.” He worked many years for Pellini
Chevrolet.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Kathleen Ray (“Muzz”);
daughters Lisa Malley and Lori Fox; sons-in-law Kirk Malley and
Mark Fox; granddaughters Hayley, Sarah and grandson Clayton Fox;
brother Clovis M. Ray and sister Irma Jean Jorgensen;
brother-in-law Dave Jorgensen and sister-in-law Judy Ray of
Missouri; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and
beloved friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall
and Nora Ray; brothers, Dean and Marion Ray; sister-in-law, Gaylia
Ray; and nephew Davey Jorgensen.
Terrell Deron Wright – Cinematographer,
writer

Terrell Wright was born February 2, 1981 to Samuel E. and Diane
Wright. His young life of 28 years ended too soon on Thursday, May
7, 2009. Terrell was raised in Sebastopol and later attended Sonoma
State University and San Francisco State University where he found
his true genius and passion studying cinematography and writing. He
is survived by his 2 brothers, Samuel & Jamaal; sister, Vikki;
three nephews and three nieces.
Annetta Rose Brucker – Member of Graton Flower
Club

Annetta Brucker died on May 3, 2009 at the age of 74. Many years
of her life were shared with ex-husband William J. Brucker and
longtime companion Bill Krick. She had been a member of the Graton
Flower Club, enjoyed crafting, sewing and trips to the beach with
her grandchildren.
Brucker is survived by her children Sharon Ius, Patti and Ed
Rubin, Billy and Felicia Brucker and Lori and Rudy Gutierrez; nine
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family prefers
donations be made to M.D.A., 3300 E. Sunrise Dr., Tucson, AZ
95718.
Marcie Ann Bushgen – El Molino graduate
Marcie Ann Bushgen was born December 5, 1962 in Castro Valley.
She died in her sleep April 24, 2009 in her home in Reno, NV.
Bushgen’s family moved to Guerneville in 1968, where she attended
Guerneville Elementary School, and later graduated from El Molino.
She worked at Pats’ Restaurant and Lark’s Drug. In the fall of 1992
she moved to Reno, NV. Marcie is survived by her daughter Cathrine
Bushgen; grandson Devon; and granddaughter Dakota; her parents
Darryl and Hope Bushgen; brothers Rick and Jack Bushgen; her
sister-in-law Sharon; and her nieces and nephews, Justin, Joe,
Angela, Saranne, Gabby, and great-nephew Forrest. A celebration of
life will be held at a date to be announced. The family requests
donations to be made to the Guerneville Fire Department.
Rae G. Schultz – Retired Air Force Master
Sergeant

Rae Schultz died May 4, 2009 in Santa Rosa at the age of 81.
Schultz was born in Detroit, MI and had lived in Sonoma County for
the past 38 years.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and
retired as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Cross &
Crown Lutheran Church for many years. 
Schultz was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary. He
is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth Schultz, Sarah
(Patrick) Lyons and Jennifer Schultz; brother, Duane (Jessie) A.
Schultz.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 1 p.m.
at Cross & Crown Lutheran Church, 5475 Snyder Lane, Rohnert
Park.
